Chris Jones Joins Bomgar as SVP of Global Sales and Chief Revenue Officer
ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug 28, 2018--Bomgar, a leader in identity and access management solutions for privileged users, today announced that Chris Jones has joined the company as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). In this newly created role at Bomgar, Jones will oversee all direct sales, solution engineering, channels and alliances, and sales enablement operations worldwide.
This year Bomgar acquired best-in-class Privileged Access Management (PAM) technology from Lieberman Software and Avecto to create a solution portfolio with the critical elements required of a comprehensive, enterprise PAM product – the ability to secure privileged credentials, sessions and endpoints against cyber threats. With Bomgar’s PAM solutions, organizations are protected against the most common pathways exploited during cyberattacks – unsecured privileged access for insiders and external vendors, and compromised credentials.
“I’m excited to join Bomgar at such a pivotal point in the company’s evolution,” Jones said. “More enterprise organizations are recognizing the regulatory compliance and cybersecurity best practices of securing and managing privileged access to systems with highly sensitive data. Bomgar’s industry-unique ability to automatically discover and secure privileged credentials, while also protecting privileged access pathways, positions Bomgar for sustained growth in the burgeoning Privileged Access Management market, and I look forward to leading the company’s global sales operations.”
Jones has more than 25 years of experience leading consistently high performing B2B technology sales teams. Prior to joining Bomgar, Jones served as Senior Vice President of Sales at PROS where he led the company’s successful transition from perpetual license to software as a service model. Previously, Jones was General Manager at Microsoft in the Enterprise & Partner Group, and Area Vice President of Sales at EMC.
“Chris brings a wealth of B2B technology sales leadership experience to this newly created position on our executive staff,” said Matt Dircks, CEO of Bomgar. “His proven track record in developing new distribution channels and penetrating untapped markets will help us further drive the adoption of our privileged identity and access management solutions to wider audiences.”
Bomgar’s secure access solutions enable customers to easily support people, access and protect endpoints, and defend privileged credentials to fight cyber threats and speed business performance. More than 15,000 organizations around the globe use Bomgar to deliver superior support services and reduce threats to valuable data and systems. Bomgar clients include some of the world’s leading IT outsourcers, systems integrators, software vendors, healthcare organizations, government agencies, universities, financial institutions, and retailers. Bomgar is privately held with offices in Atlanta, Jackson, Washington D.C., Frankfurt, London, Paris, and Singapore.
