Orchids and Onions: Sunday, August 12, 2018

August 12, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to Bruce for fitting me in on a busy day to fix a bumper problem. Always a good experience at Big O Tires.

Onions to the new water bill “look.” What a scare to see “gallons” where cubic feet used to be. Wonder how many other people had a panic attack when they opened their bill this month.

Orchids to Landscape Escape. Andrew answered my call and came the same day, as he said he would for an estimate on trimming my palms and weed cleanup. I look forward to doing business with you. Patti

Onions to LHC for not following up on contractors. Our streets have been a mess for months, (Little Drive, Viejo Drive, Fremont Drive). Still dirt trenches, detours, never see anyone working. Riviera project is not our problem. Get streets paved and fixed.

Orchids to the school district for making sure the new football field is completely fenced and gated so no one can get in. Yet the high school sits totally open for anyone to enter the property at any time.

Onions to understaffed retail stores. I understand the decision to trim staff, but it’s an insult to those who support you year-round when we can’t get waited on in a timely manner.

Orchids to the Elks Lodge 2399 for their furnishing of hot dogs, chips, and water at the free swim day. Havasu Healthy Striders

Orchids to the LHUSD#1 for bringing Rachel’s Challenge to our schools and community. What a wonderful and positive start to the school year! Susan Read

Onions to people who embarrass themselves on social media on a regular basis. The fake reviews are not fooling anyone, or helping your situation. You treat your friends and staff more like your minions. Pathetic!

Orchids and blessings to Billy G. and Scott at “Catching Air” for coming to our rescue! We are grateful for the honesty, integrity and fair prices of your company. Love our new A/C unit.
