CHH, St. Mary’s to host Concert for a Cure

Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center will host Concert for a Cure presented by IBM Watson Health on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at Barboursville Park Amphitheater in Barboursville with entertainment by Young Hines.

HUNTINGTON—Cabell Huntington Hospital and St. Mary’s Medical Center will host Concert for a Cure presented by IBM Watson Health on Saturday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. at Barboursville Park Amphitheater in Barboursville. Dear John: A Tribute to Lennon and Creedence Revived will perform.

All cancer survivors present will be honored during the event. Tickets are $10 and are available at www.concertforacurewv.org and at the door. Sponsorship tables with VIP seating are available for $500, which includes a picnic basket. To purchase tables, contact Velma.Workman@chhi.org or Melanie.Kerstetter@st-marys.org.

Gates open at 5 p.m. Food trucks will be on site selling food, drinks and desserts. Alcoholic beverages will also be available for purchase. Coolers, chairs and/or blankets permitted, but no tents or umbrellas.

Dear John: A Tribute to Lennon is led by Young Hines, who many consider the No. 1 John Lennon impersonator of our time. He will perform songs spanning the entire career of John Lennon. Creedence Revived has rapidly become one of the most highly sought after tribute bands in the world, performing songs from the Creedence Clearwater Revival catalog.

Proceeds from the event will benefit cancer patients in need at both St. Mary’s Medical Center and Cabell Huntington Hospital.
