New Bantam Doubleday CEO
NEW YORK (AP) _ Jack Hoeft, president and chief operating officer of Bantam Doubleday Dell since November 1989, has been named the publishing company’s chief executive officer, it was announced Monday.
Paul D. Neuthaler, who had been CEO, was named vice chairman, according to Bantam Doubleday chairman Bernhard von Minckwitz.
Von Minckwitz also is president of the Bertelsmann Publishing Group, which owns the New York-based publisher.
Neuthaler, 48, will be responsible for expansion of the company’s trade and mass market publishing operations in several English-speaking nations, von Minckwitz said.
Hoeft, 44, joined Bantam Books in 1981 as vice president for sales and marketing.
