ROME (AP) _ Bruno Visentini, who served in Italy's first postwar government and alternated careers in politics and business, died today at age 80.

Visentini died in a Rome clinic from heart and circulatory complications, the Italian news agency ANSA said.

He was an Italian senator and a deputy in the European Parliament.

Visentini had served as deputy chairman of IRI, Italy's state-controlled industrial conglomorate, for more than 20 years and as chairman of Olivetti, the privately run computer and office machine group, in the 1970s.
