Juventus of Turin 3, Torino 2
TURIN, Italy (AP) _ Ruggiero Rizzitelli scored two goals and set up another as Torino upset first place Juventus of Turin 3-2 Wednesday night in the Italian League.
Juventus (11-3-3), which has lost consecutive games for the first time this season, maintained a one-point lead over second-place Parma (10-2-5). Lazio of Rome (9-4-4) is third, four points back, followed by AS Roma and AC Milan (both 7-3-3), which are eight points behind.
Rizzitelli, who hadn’t scored since Oct. 16, put Torino ahead in the sixth minute but crosstown rival Juventus tied the score two minutes later on a goal by Gianluca Vialli.
Rizzitelli scored again in the 29th but Vialli tied the game again three minutes later off a through pass that appeared to leave him about a yard offside.
Rizzitelli fed Jocelyn Angloma with the winning goal in the 38th minute. Torino goalkeeper Luca Pastine saved a penalty kick by Fabrizio Ravanelli with 20 minutes left, preserving Torino’s first victory over Juventus since 1992.
The game was postponed from Nov. 6, when heavy rains caused flooding that left 64 people dead and about 10,000 homeless in northern Italy.
