EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) _ New England quarterback Steve Grogan suffered sprained left knee ligaments in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the New York Jets and will miss the rest of the regular season, the National Football League team said.

Grogan, who led the Patriots to six consecutive victories, was injured late when he was tackled by defensive end Ben Rudolph. He was replaced by Tony Eason. The Patriots lost 16-13 in overtime.
