LAS VEGAS (AP) _ Betty Lennox scored 15 of her 21 points in the first half as No. 2 Louisiana Tech beat Southeast Missouri State 96-54 on Saturday night in the opening game of the Lady Rebel Shootout.
The Lady Techsters (2-1) will face the winner of Saturday night’s second game between UNLV and Weber State on Sunday.
Louisiana Tech rebounded from a 74-72 loss at Mississippi State on Monday night.
Freshman Cheryl Ford, whose father, Utah Jazz star Karl Malone, watched the game at the Thomas & Mack Center, had 14 points and eight rebounds for the Lady Techsters. Catrina Frierson added 12 points and Takeisha Lewis and Ayana Walker had 10 each.
Paula Corder-King led Southeast Missouri State (1-3) with 20 points. The Otahkians made just 35 percent of their field-goal attempts and committed 28 turnovers.
