A culinary extravaganza ‘unleashed’

LDN-sponsored cooking show returns

Lakeshore area foodies are in for a treat on Tuesday, Oct. 6, as renowned chef Guy Klinzing returns to host the Ludington Daily News-sponsored cooking and culinary arts event at the Graystone Event Center.

Klinzing first appeared at the LDN’s 2017 cooking class with his “Guy Unleashed” show. This year, with the “Guy Unleashed Again” show, Klinzing promises to bring a new array of tastes, smells, sounds and stories

“From a content standpoint, the show is 100-percent new,” Klinzing told the Daily News. “Last year, I did eight of my family traditional recipes and I am back this year with eight more recipes.”

By taking suggestions and recommendations from the audience, Klinzing is hoping to give area residents a reason to turn out in droves once again to feast on his delectable delicacies, from appetizers and entrees to desserts. He’ll kick off the show with a brand new recipe — yellow stone bison chili — and volunteers from the audience will be called on to help him stir it up.

“Guy Unleashed Again” will also feature a local talent in Oceana County native Gina Ferwerda, an award-winning recipe developer, food blogger and photographer whose work has been featured on national television shows including “The TODAY Show Food Club,” “Good Morning America,” “The Rachel Ray Show” and more.

“Guy Unleashed Again” gets underway with a pre-show from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Graystone Event Center, 4079 W. U.S. 10, Ludington. The show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $14 for general admission and $29 for reserved seating and can be purchased at the Ludington Daily News office, 202 N. Rath Ave.
