_ Teemu Selanne, Mighty Ducks, scored his league leading 44th and 45th goals and added an assist in a 4-1 win over the Rangers.

_ Joe Murphy, Sharks, had two goals and an assist in San Jose's 7-0 victory at Vancouver.

SIDELINED

Philadelphia center Eric Lindros will sit out the remainder of the regular season because of a collapsed right lung. Lindros apparently was hurt when cross-checked during the Flyers' game at Nashville on Thursday. Replays also showed Lindros falling on his stick in the first period.

SHUTOUT

San Jose goalie Steve Shields made 18 saves in a 7-0 win over Vancouver on Friday night. It was his third shutout of the season, including two against the Canucks. Shields has played all four of San Jose's games against Vancouver this season, going 3-0-1 and allowing just four goals.

STREAKING

The Red Wings have won five straight games since acquiring Chris Chelios, Wendel Clark and Bill Ranford on March 23 in trades with Chicago and Tampa Bay. Detroit defeated Chicago 5-3 Friday night.

Bill Ranford stopped 27 shots in Detroit's 5-3 victory over Chicago on Friday night. The win was Ranford's first since January 21, when he was a goalie for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
