Grace Named AP Chief of Bureau
NEW YORK (AP) _ Beth Grace, assistant chief of bureau for The Associated Press in Columbus, Ohio, has been promoted to chief of bureau for upstate New York, based in Albany.
The appointment was announced Wednesday by AP President and CEO Louis D. Boccardi.
Grace, 42, joined the AP in Columbus in 1985 after working as a reporter for two Ohio papers: the Herald-Star of Steubenville and the Coshocton Tribune. She became news editor in Columbus in 1993 and assistant chief of bureau five years later.
Grace is a graduate of Bethany College in West Virginia. She succeeds Robert Naylor, who is on a medical leave.
