— CAMPAIGN SIGN CLEANUP: Toledo city officials say Republicans and Democrats have until the end of the week to clean up their leftover campaign signs before they are deemed abandoned and disposed.

— DETERIORATED DAM-RECONSTRUCTION: The replacement for the Buckeye Lake dam in central Ohio that had deteriorated to the point where authorities had said it was at risk of failure has officially opened.

— HIGH-SPEED CHASE-BOY DRIVER: Authorities say an 11-year-old boy in Ohio accused of his second high-speed police chase in 13 months has been charged with grand theft and criminal damaging in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court.

— INDIANA-FOURTH PORT: Indiana officials eyeing a swath of land along the Ohio River for a possible new shipping port have extended their option to buy that southeastern Indiana acreage.
