Truck accident closed Plumtrees in Danbury
DANBURY - Plumtrees Road remains closed Monday after a dump truck caught some electrical wires and rolled onto its side.
Authorities said the truck was leaving a business located on Plumtrees around 10 a.m. and had the bed of the truck extended when it made contact with overhead utility lines. The impact caused the lines and the pole to break and the truck rolled onto its drivers side.
Police said the driver, who was not identified, was transported to Danbury Hospital with injuries. A passenger in the truck was evaluated at the scene by medics and released.
The road however remains closed to the extensive damages to the utility lines and poles.
