MONMOUTH JUNCTION, N.J. (AP) _ CytoSorbents Corp. (CTSO) on Thursday reported a loss of $5.8 million in its second quarter.
The Monmouth Junction, New Jersey-based company said it had a loss of 19 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 13 cents per share.
The blood purification therapy company posted revenue of $5.8 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $5.1 million.
CytoSorbents shares have increased 98 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than doubled in the last 12 months.
