NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) — Frankie Dettori has been ruled out for the rest of the season after a fall at Nottingham on Wednesday, ruining his plans to ride highly fancied Treve in Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

The Italian jockey fractured his right ankle after being unseated from Eland Ally prior to a race.

Peter Burrell, Dettori's business manager, says "it's an extremely painful injury. Sunday is out — as is the season."

Treve is a 4-1 shot for the Arc at Longchamp with some bookmakers.
