RENO, Nev. (AP) — A newspaper says it found that a company offering commercial bus service between Reno, Las Vegas and Phoenix has no license to carry passengers.

The Reno Gazette Journal reports it bought an Inland Streamliner ticket for an inaugural July 3 trip from Reno to Phoenix for about $85, and it reached company representative John Wang by email.

The newspaper says Inland Streamliner advertises comfortable travel on a fleet of buses with trained drivers, but really has just one bus, one driver and no authority to legally transport people across state lines.

Wang told the Gazette Journal he’s committed to complying with federal regulations.

He said passengers who bought tickets for July 3 would make it to their destinations, but it might not be on an Inland Streamliner bus.
