Stetson routs Warner in first game since ’56
DELAND, Fla. (AP) — Ryan Tentler threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns to help Stetson rout Warner 31-3 on Sunday in the completion of a game suspended Saturday because of lightning and rain.
The game was Stetson’s first since 1956, and Warner’s first in school history.
Tentler completed 14 of 24 passes and led the Hatters in rushing with 62 yards on seven carries. Rob Coggin had six catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
Kicker James LaGamma converted a fake field goal into a touchdown, and Donald Payne recovered a fumble in the end zone for another score.
Stetson led 10-3 early in the second quarter when play was stopped Saturday.
