Bullhead City man accused of injuring baby

November 8, 2018

BULLHEAD CITY — The Bullhead City Police Department arrested Dalton Darius Milne, 22, in connection with critical injuries to his 3-month-old daughter.

Milne was arrested on suspicion of child abuse and booked into the Mohave County Jail in Kingman.

Police were called to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center on Monday for a baby with a brain injury. She was airlifted from WARMC to a Las Vegas hospital for further treatment.

The baby’s mother reported finding a concerning Google search about “shaken baby syndrome” done by Milne in her phone’s recent history, police said.

Detectives ultimately determined Milne was frustrated because his daughter would not stop crying and that he threw her forcefully onto a hard chair Saturday, according to a press release issued by police on Tuesday.

Emily Fromelt, the BHCPD’s public information officer, said detectives spoke Tuesday with the doctor treating her and were told she is “expected to be OK.”

The baby could be released from the hospital within the next couple of days, Fromelt added.
