No. 24 Oklahoma 65, Baylor 51

WACO, Texas (AP) _ Kelley Newton scored 15 points on five 3-pointers Wednesday night as No. 24 Oklahoma defeated Baylor 65-51.

Newton, who had not made a 3-pointer in his previous three games, also had eight rebounds and six assists for Oklahoma (16-5, 5-3 Big 12). Nolan Johnson scored 17 to lead the Sooners and J.R. Raymond added 15.

Meanwhile, the Bears made just 1 of 16 3-point attempts, shooting 31 percent from the field.

Greg Davis had 18 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots to lead Baylor (13-5, 2-5). Harry Black added 14 points.

Oklahoma has won four in a row in conference play and 13 straight against Baylor dating to 1978 when Bears coach Dave Bliss was head coach of the Sooners.

The Bears have lost four in a row.
