EWC releases one employee from administrative leave after investigation
TORRINGTON — One Eastern Wyoming College employees placed on paid administrative leave on Oct. 24 has returned to work, according to a press release sent by the college on Nov. 15.
Two employees in student services were placed on leave following an investigation by the Torrington Police Department into drinking on campus. According to statements given to the police, Vice President Donald Appiarius had ordered resident advisors to not report on-campus drinking offenses on the first offense. The police began an investigation for accessory after the fact to underage drinking by a minor. In the meantime, the college began its own investigation, and placed two unnamed employees on leave.
According to the press release, one of the two employees has been released from leave and will be reassigned. The second employee will remain on leave through Nov. 26.
