JACQUELINE DARE HINES COOPER

JACQUELINE DARE HINES COOPER, 80, of Ona, W.Va., formerly of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, in Paramount Senior Living, Ona, W.Va. She was born October 18, 1937, in Huntington, a daughter of the late John “Jack” Hines and Vivian Dare Campbell Hines. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Irwin Hines. She was a retired employee of the former West Virginia State Hospital in Huntington. She enjoyed spending time with her family and classical music. Mrs. Cooper was an accomplished artist early in her life and was a lifelong admirer of the arts. She received exceptional care and enjoyed many special friendships with the staff at Paramount Senior Living in her recent years. She is survived by her husband, Buddy Cooper of Huntington, W.Va.; sister, Connie Crews of Ocala, Florida; her uncle, Charles E. Hines of Huntington, W.Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline Suzanne and Rick Wilson of Piedmont, S.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Casey and Diana Harbour of Ashton, W.Va., and Bruce and Pamela Harbour of Huntington, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Taylor Catherine Wilson of Piedmont, S.C., Gwendolyn Abigail (and B.J.) Huffman of Summersville, W.Va., Marina Gato of Tampa, Florida, Nathan (and Kim) Curry of Buffalo, N.Y., and Knijuana Harmon of Fayetteville, N.C.; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Curry, Nathan Curry, Layla Dare Hensley, Jase Huffman, Laila Harmon, Shaun Harmon and Bleu Harmon. There will be no community services. Memorials or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington Museum of Art, 2033 McCoy Road, Huntington, WV 25701, in memory of Jacqueline Cooper noted. Chapman’s Mortuary of Huntington is assisting the family.
