2 Die in Capitol Shooting
WASHINGTON (AP) _ Two police officers were shot to death and a tourist was seriously wounded Friday afternoon when a man opened fire inside the U.S. Capitol. The suspect also was wounded in a furious exchange of gunfire with police and was taken to the hospital, officials said.
Both officers died at the hospital where they had been taken for treatment of their wounds, Justice Department and congressional sources said.
The tourist, identified as Angela Dickerson, 24, suffered facial and shoulder wounds and was rushed to a hospital.
The suspect, not identified, was taken to another hospital for treatment of his wounds.
