Yoneyama Wins in Casio World Open
IBUSUKI, Japan (AP) _ Tsuyoshi Yoneyama birdied the final hole for a 7-under 65 Sunday and a one-stroke victory in the $1.3 million Casio World Open.
Yoneyama, starting the round two shots off the lead, one-putted 12 holes and made seven birdies in a bogey-free round over the 7,105-yard, par-72 Ibusuki Golf Club course. He finished at 14-under 274.
For his third victory of the season, Yoneyama earned $266,600 .
First-round co-leader Taichi Teshima missed a 6-foot putt for birdie at the final hole that would have sent him into a playoff with Yoneyama. Teshima finished with a 66 and was second at 275.
Joe Ozaki, the leading money winner on the Japan PGA Tour, shot a 71 for 279 and a tie for fifth.
