Celtic gets Maribor in Champions League playoff
NYON, Switzerland (AP) — Celtic will play Maribor in the Champions League playoffs after getting a last-minute reprieve by UEFA despite losing to Legia Warsaw in the previous round.
UEFA disqualified Legia one hour before Friday’s draw for using an ineligible player in a 6-1 aggregate victory over the Scottish champion. Legia will appeal.
Arsenal will face Turkish club Besiktas and Porto plays French side Lille.
Among the 10 matchups, Napoli was drawn at home to Athletic Bilbao, and Zenit St. Petersburg travels first to Standard Liege.
First-leg matches will be played Aug. 19-20, and the return legs on Aug. 26-27.
Playoff winners advance to the 32-team group stage drawn Aug. 28 in Monaco.
