Barbara Reilly, 72, Beaver Dam

Barbara J. Reilly, 72, Beaver Dam, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018.

The memorial gathering will be at Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. Deacon Ed Cody will officiate and inurnment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery at a later date.

The former Barbara Jean Lee was born Aug. 13, 1946, in Beaver Dam, to Robert and Mildred (Baszynski) Lee. She was a 1964 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On Oct. 28, 1967, Barb was united in marriage with Thomas J. Reilly in Beaver Dam.

Barbara worked at the Beaver Dam Middle School as a computer aid teacher for many years, retiring in 2015. She was active in the Beaver Dam Hockey and Figure Skating Association and served on the board for many years.

After retirement, Barb’s true joy in life was spent with her five grandchildren, being Grandma Barbie. She took great pride in teaching them all to swim in her backyard pool.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Tom of Beaver Dam; children, Brook (Colin) Dehn of Beaver Dam, Josh Reilly of Beaver Dam and Brittney (Peter Johnson) Reilly of Sun Prairie; grandchildren, Weston and Adelynn, Landon, Morgan and Abraham; sister, Diann (Michael) Wendt of Fox Lake; sister-in-law, Patricia Reilly of Manitowoc; special friend, Laurie Schmidt; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Colleen.

Thank you, from all of Barb’s family, to the UW Neurocritical ICU Unit and Heartland Hospice, for their wonderful and compassionate care that was given.
