Bucknell 21, Holy Cross 14

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) _ Todd Wenrich passed for 234 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead Bucknell over Holy Cross, 21-14.

Bucknell (6-2, 4-1 Patriot League) held off a fourth-quarter rally. Holy Cross (4-4, 3-2) made it 14-14 with 14:49 left to play on a 37-yard pass from Arthur Grutt to Steve Green, but could not complete the comeback.

Bucknell drove from its own 25 midway through the fourth to set up the winning score. Jim Horan caught a 25-yard pass from Wenrich with 11:36 remaining to retake the lead.

Wenrich completed 23-of-37 passes. Grutt passed for 171 yards and a touchdown. Each quarterback was sacked three times.

Bucknell led 14-3 at the half after a 3-yard touchdown run by Jabu Powell and a 4-yard scoring pass from Wenrich to J.C. Morgan.

Holy Cross chipped away with a 32-yard field goal in the third before tying it in the fourth.

Powell carried 30 times for 98 yards. Horan finished with 8 catches for 119 yards.
