Sidewalks closing for gas-main work
Portions of sidewalks on the south side of Fourth Street Southeast near Broadway Avenue and the west side of the Zumbro River will be closed for three days starting Monday to make way for gas-main repairs.
The work will be conducted on the west side of the Zumbro River between Fourth Street Southeast and 200 feet to the south, as well as along Fourth Street east of Broadway Avenue, adjacent to the Riverside building, according to Rochester Public Works.
Access to all businesses is expected to be maintained, but pedestrians will be advised to use the open sidewalks on the opposite side of the street or river when passing through the area.
Downtown Third Avenue lane closure to start Monday
A northbound lane on Third Avenue Northwest, between Center and Second streets, will be closed for the rest of the month, starting Monday.
The closure is necessary to complete a large project on the Charlton North building courtyard, according to Rochester Public Works.
