Idaho Man Drowns in South Africa

PORT ELIZABETH, South Africa (AP) _ An American tourist who was hunting wild geese drowned when he tried to rescue a laborer from a farm dam near this Indian Ocean port city.

Tom Jogielski, 60, of Kooskia, Idaho, on Tuesday was dragged under by the panicked farm worker, who waded into the water to retrieve a goose.

Police divers from Port Elizabeth, about 50 miles away, retrieved the bodies three hours later.
