Orchids and Onions: Monday, December 17, 2018

December 17, 2018

Another beautiful day in Havasu...

Orchids to the Go Lake Havasu tourism bureau, the city, Main Street businesses, and community organizations for continuing to work on decorating the city with holiday spirit. And orchids to everyone who loves and appreciates this beautiful community.

Onions to the boat parade. Why is it when the boats return through the channel they do not enter through the other arch so the viewers on the island side of the channel get a closer view? Poor planning.

Orchids to Mohave State Bank for their Christmas tree with tags for seniors through the Salvation Army. Their needs are so small and simple, it is easy to share holiday joy. My Christmas wish is that everyone will take one or more tags and provide a happy Christmas for these deserving individuals.

Onions to my former landlord. Paid $650 for one bedroom, lasted two nights, moved out, no refund!

Orchids to the gentleman from Frontier Concrete who helped us when our car battery died in Food City’s parking lot and told us to go to All-American battery for a new one. Orchids to them also for fast and friendly service.

Onions to the gray Chevy SUV. Friday morning ran through stop sign at Acoma and Smoketree. Riding other cars too close and blowing even more stop signs, just to turn into Planet Fitness parking lot. Hope you get a ticket soon.

Orchids to all involved in getting decorations for Main Street.

Onions to the city for spending money on stop signs, what’s the point?

Orchids to Judy Justice for providing and making all the beautiful Christmas centerpieces for the Tamarack Neighbor Hood Christmas Party. You are great.

Onions to the speeding drivers on Hwy 95 at the construction zone south of Acoma by the new Marina road under construction. Slow down for the workers as signs reduce the speed limit. Police presence would help some.

Orchids to finding a beautiful painted rock in my front yard this morning. It put a big smile on my face. Thank you for a great start to the day!

Onions to doctors taking new patients when they can’t even handle what they have.

Orchids to Shaw’s Green Cleaning. I was considering new carpet but after cleaning the carpets look like new! Even cleaned my entry rug. Many thanks. Pat on Breakwater
