Three Defiance College players killed in accident

DEFIANCE, Ohio (AP) _ Three Defiance College basketball players were killed in a two-car accident on a city road.

The victims were identified as Shaun Roth, Christopher Grammel and Sean Granger.

A fourth member of the team, Brent Maillard, was in serious condition today at Toledo’s Saint Vincent Medical Center.

The accident happened Tuesday night on Route 66.

Police said they did not know who was driving the car, which ran a stop sign, and was hit by a car driven by George Limber. Limber was treated and released from a hospital.

Police said the accident is under investigation.

Defiance College called off classes today because of the accident.
