COURTHOUSE - BEDBUGS

YORK, S.C. (AP) — In this instance, it’s definitely a case of double jeopardy. For the second time in just over two weeks, a South Carolina courthouse has been evacuated after bedbugs were found. The clerk at the York County Court system says specially trained dogs sniffed out evidence of bedbugs — with the tiny pests found in both courtrooms of the criminal court building — and in offices on both floors. Due to the re-infestation, the entire building will remain closed while a stronger chemical treatment is applied.

ESCAPED LLAMA RECAPTURED

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A pack llama that went on the lam is on the lam no more. A Montana outfitter rescued the llama last weekend in Yellowstone National Park — months after it disappeared. The saga began in August when the llama, named Ike, bolted from a guided hike in the southern part of Yellowstone. During his time as a fugitive, Ike avoided capture by ducking special treats and efforts to lure him into llama groups. In the end, the 350-pound animal was tracked own — and just in time. Ike’s recapture came just days before most of Yellowstone’s entrances closed to prep for winter.
