Reagan Won’t Visit Concentration Camp
WASHINGTON (AP) _ The White House said Thursday that President Reagan has no intention of visiting the former concentration camp at Dachau during his trip to West Germany in May.
Spokesman Larry Speakes said the president ″just doesn’t think it’s an appropriate thing to do.″
The West German news magazine Der Spiegel has reported that Reagan intended to visit the site located near Munich despite wishes to the contrary of the Bonn government. The president plans to attend the economic summit May 2-4 in Bonn.
