WISCONSIN EXPLOSION

MADISON, Wis. — Buildings destroyed by a natural gas explosion in Sun Prairie on July 10 will be removed by the end of August, and officials say the intersection where the heaviest damage happened should be rebuilt by the end of construction season. The blast destroyed six businesses and one home and killed a volunteer firefighter. UPCOMING: 250 words.

BREWERS-CARDINALS

ST. LOUIS — The surging St. Louis Cardinals begin a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. Freddy Peralta starts for the Brewers, while rookie Jack Flaherty is scheduled to start for the Cardinals. By Jason Young. Game starts at 7:15 p.m. CDT.
