PHOENIX (AP) — A Phoenix woman has been arrested for illegally entering a home by crawling through a doggy door and allegedly assaulting two pre-teen girls.

Phoenix police say 34-year-old Kristen Anderson is facing charges of burglary, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

Officers responded to a 911 call about an intruder at a house where two girls — ages 10 and 12 — were home alone.

Court documents show Anderson allegedly grabbed one of the girls and threw her on the couch.

The girl's sister then stabbed Anderson in the chest before the girls ran to a neighbor for help.

Police say Anderson was treated at a hospital for the stab wound and to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Anderson didn't have an attorney at her initial court appearance Wednesday.

Bond is set at $5,000.
