February 2, 2019

Goalie Jared Coreau posted a 29-save shutout to lift the Rampage to a 2-0 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Pink in the Rink night Friday at the AT&T Center.

After having a franchise-record 12-match home winning streak snapped Saturday, the Rampage improved to 23-21-2 overall and 18-6-1 at home. The Griffins are 26-15-7.

Coreau recorded his second shutout in his 12th game with the Rampage since being acquired from the San Diego Gulls.

The Rampage tallied both of their goals in the first period. About eight minutes in, Sammy Blais scored on a power play from the right circle off a cross-ice assist from Jordan Kyrou, with a secondary assist to Mitch Reinke.

Less than six minutes later, Adam Musil scored off a rebound, with assists from Bobby MacIntyre and Chris Butler.

The Rampage wore pink jerseys and the game was played on pink ice to honor breast cancer survivors.

San Antonio embarks on a 10-game road trip beginning with a match against the Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. Friday. The Rampage next play at home on March 1.
