Former Bankers Trust CEO Dies
SEVEN LAKES, N.C. (AP) _ John W. Hannon Jr., former president and chief executive officer of Bankers Trust Co. of New York died Monday. He was 77.
Hannon died in Carolina House of Pinehurst, a retirement home, according to a statement from Boles Funeral Home.
An Army veteran of World War II, Hannon later worked at Bankers Trust, a financial services company, for 37 years. He retired in 1988 and moved to Seven Lakes.
Hannon is survived by his wife, Vivien Hannon of Seven Lakes; a son, Bruce G. Hannon of London; two daughters, Elizabeth K. Reichard of North Andover, Mass., and Christine G. Hannon of North Hampton, Mass.; a brother, James K. Hannon of Montgomery, Texas; a sister, Margaret H. Crawley of Shrewsbury, N.J.; and five grandchildren.
