GRANDMOTHER BEATEN — A man has been charged with murder for the beating death of his grandmother in western Iowa’s Council Bluffs.

2 PEDESTRIANS KILLED — Authorities have released the names of two pedestrians killed in Davenport.

STABBING-SIOUX CITY — Another trial date has been set for a Nebraska resident accused of stabbing to death a woman in northwest Iowa.

CHILD SPANKED-MAN CHARGED — An October sentencing has been scheduled for a northern Iowa man accused of using a belt to spank a 4-year-old child.

MARION HOMICIDE — A man has been found guilty of killing a woman whose body was found rolled in a blanket inside a trailer in the Cedar Rapids suburb of Marion.

MOWER ACCIDENT-BOY KILLED — Authorities say a 12-year-old boy was fatally injured when a riding lawn mower overturned and pinned him in northeast Iowa.
