PLAINVIEW — Services for Edwina “Eddy” Hamilton of Plainview will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Plainview Congregational United Church of Christ with the Rev. Joan Alexander officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Edwina Hamilton, known to friends as “Eddy,” passed away on Jan. 19, 2019, at the age of 57 years old, with her family by her side.
Edwina was born April 19, 1961, in Osmond the daughter of Edwin and Delores Robinson.
On Feb. 25, 1978, Edwina married the love of her life, David Hamilton, in the Pierce Congregational Church. They moved to Plainview where they raised their children. They built a house out in the country 19 years ago that was her pride and joy. Edwina served her community the last 39 years working for Paul and Helen Huigens, Havercamp’s Grocery Store, Koch Elevator and finally Plainview Vision Clinic for the last 29 years.
Edwina is survived by her husband, David; two children, Jennifer (Tom) Uhlir of Bennington and Leslie (Luke) Reimers of Bennington; and by three grandchildren, Maddie, Parker and Mason. She is also survived by her mother, Delores Robinson; her siblings, Linda (Jim) Backhaus, David (Sherril) Robinson, Debra (Kam) Stueckrath, Lonnie (Debbie) Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Edwina was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Robinson, and her two sisters, Gloria and Brenda Robinson.
Edwina was one of the kindest and most gentle souls you could meet. She will forever leave a mark on anyone that has met her and will be so greatly missed.
