Multiple thefts, burglaries reported in Lawrence County

IRONTON — The following information was compiled from Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office reports:

THEFT: A 37-year-old South Point area man reported last week that someone stole a trailer containing a riding lawn mower and a push mower. The items were valued at $3,338.

BURGLARY: A 50-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that someone broke into her home and stole a television, a propane grill and a heater. The items were valued at $1,250.

BURGLARY: An Ironton area woman reported last week that someone stole a television from her home. The TV was valued at $150.

BURGLARY: A 45-year-old Pedro area woman reported last week that someone broke into her home and stole tools valued at $1,164.

BURGLARY: A 62-year-old South Point area woman reported last week that someone stole four air conditioning units from her trailer. The items were valued at $800.

DRUG POSSESSION: Following a traffic stop last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested Joseph D. Hicks, 38, of May Court, Ashland, on charges of possession of drugs, illegal conveyance of weapons or prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility and transported him to jail.

AGGRAVATED MENACING: Responding to a call last week from a female caller worried about a man with a gun, a sheriff’s deputy arrested a 35-year-old Ironton area man on a misdemeanor charge of aggravated menacing and transported him to jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An Ironton area woman reported last week that a man threatened her with a gun. A sheriff’s deputy arrested a 34-year-old Huntington man on a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence and transported him to jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A Proctorville area woman reported last week that a man hit her in the face and took her phone so she couldn’t call authorities.

ASSAULT: Following a fight at South Point High School last week, a sheriff’s deputy arrested a 15-year-old South Point boy and transported him to the Lawrence County Group Home.
