1 killed in Puyallup crash
PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) — Authorities say a man was killed and a woman was injured after a three-car head-on crash in Puyallup.
The crash happened about 8:35 a.m. Monday.
The News Tribune reports that authorities say the man, a Puyallup-area resident in his late 50s, was driving his car eastbound when he drifted into the turn lane and sideswiped a stationary car. That sent the man’s car into the westbound lanes, where it collided with a minivan going the opposite direction.
The man was extricated from his car and transported to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, where he died.
The woman driving the minivan was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The person in the sideswiped car was uninjured.
