Pocatello Arts Council seeking worthwhile projects for grants

October 11, 2018

The Pocatello Arts Council was established more than 25 years ago to encourage, enhance and educate the community with respect to the arts. Functioning as a working board, members collaborate to identify, plan and administrate public art projects for community enhancement. One of the primary goals of the Pocatello Arts Council is to seek out and allocate funding for worthwhile projects. Grants of up to $1,000 are available for beneficial projects in any of the arts. Financial awards are given to those who have an activity or plan of action revolving around various arts projects.

Oct. 31 is the deadline for this year’s grant awards. Applicants must give a thorough explanation of the project; how it will benefit and impact the Pocatello community; amount and justification of the request (not to exceed $1,000); and a project completion timeline. All applicants must complete the form that can be found at pocatelloarts.org. For more information, contact chair@pocatelloarts.org or a member of the Arts Council.
