Fear of Terrorism Cancels Brown Summer Overseas Program
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Fear of terrorism abroad forced Brown University to cancel its summer program in Athens, Greece, Paris and London, university officials said.
Faculty and administrators decided that international tensions would not subside by June 15, when the program starts, Reginald Archambault, dean of summer studies, said Wednesday.
Under the program, about 20 students travel to each of the three cities for academic credit. The program is in its second year.
