City crews looking to clean up some residential streets
Snow removal work that began today in Rochester will make travel and parking difficult on some of the city’s residential streets.
Rochester Public Works is posting streets with “no parking” signs in areas where crews will seek to widen the distance between snowbanks. Signs will be put up at least 12 hours before work starts, with efforts continuing into March.
Once posted, snow removal will be completed the following day and signs will be removed as soon as the snow has been removed.
All vehicles in violation are expected to be ticketed and towed. Anyone reporting a missing vehicle should notify the Law Enforcement Center at 507-328-6800.
Questions can be directed to the Public Works Street Maintenance Division at 507-328-2450.
