Longmont Police Notes: Dog Bites Man

A Longmont man was bitten by a neighbor’s dog Friday. The dog was quarantined at home.

A Longmont resident reported an incident of identity theft Friday. The case is closed due to lack of viable suspect information and jurisdictional issues.

At around 9:45 a.m. Friday , an officer took a report of a potential financial exploitation of an at-risk adult. The case is open and referred to detectives for follow up investigation.

At around noon Friday , Longmont police investigated a disturbance on the 100 block of East 9th Avenue. As a result of the investigation a man with an outstanding arrest warrant was taken into custody, and another man was issued a summons for assault.

Longmont police investigated a reported extortion/harassment Friday at the 100 block of South Main Street. The case is under investigation.

On Friday , Longmont police investigated a report of a theft from near the 600 block of Emery Street. Police collected information and no arrests have been made at this time. The case is currently closed.
