Neu pins the field at Wickersham Classic

BEAVER DAM — Dodgeland senior Ryan Neu pinned the field to win his weight class at 182 pounds as the Trojans finished sixth at the Wickersham Memorial Christmas Classic on Saturday.

Neu (11-0) pinned Arrowhead’s Jeffrey Pfannerstill in 2 minutes, 49 seconds, Kimberly’s Zach Arent in 1:21, Horicon’s Brandon Mlejnek at 1:55, Union Grove’s Keith Storm-Voltz at 4:37 and Cedar Grove-Belgium’s Ben Anzia 2:51 of the finals.

Hayden Kurth placed fourth at 145. Kurth went 2-2 with two pins.

Braxton Kohn (106) placed eighth. He went 1-3 with one pin.

Jabin Tew placed 11th at 113.

Dominic McHugh (126) placed sixth. McHugh (7-4) finished 3-2 with three pins.

Drake Felder (132) placed ninth. Felder (10-7) went 3-2 with two pins and one major decision.

Thull (152) went 2-2 with a pin and a major decision and placed sixth at 152.

Andrew Benzing placed seventh at 160. Benzing went 2-2 with one pin and one decision.

Tye Bader placed fifth at 170. Bader (10-7) went 3-1 with two pins and one decision.

Louis White placed eighth at 195. White went 1-3 with one pin.

Heavyweight Mason Hueslman placed eighth. He finished 1-3 with one pin.

Falcons sixth at Oostburg

OOSTBURG — Hustisford’s wrestlers placed sixth at the Oostburg Invitational with 69 points.

Logan Nicholls (5-3) placed second at 195 to lead the Falcons. Nicholls pinned Ronald Reagan’s Joel Leija at 3 minutes, 57 seconds in the quarterfinals and won a 3-2 decision over Princeton’s Owen Apland to reach the finals, where he lost by fall in 4:46 to Xavier’s Jacob Earle.

Kody Schmidt placed third at 120. Schmidt (6-2) went 2-1 with one pin and one win by injury default.

Exzavor Evans (170) placed fourth. He went 1-2 with one decision.

Ethan Wilder went 3-2 with three pins and placed sixth at 160.

Ayden Schwark (182) finished 0-2.

Evan Nicholls (220) placed fifth. He went 1-1 with one pin.

Gavan Stark placed fourth at heavyweight.
