DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ Roseki Jackson’s 3-pointer with 16.5 seconds left in overtime gave Bethune-Cookman a 64-63 victory Saturday over North Carolina A&T.
Jackson had missed two other 3-point attempts before hitting the game-winner which gave the Wildcats (7-9, 3-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) their third consecutive conference win.
The Aggies’ Kimani Stewart, who had game highs of 18 points and 17 rebounds, tied the game at 59 and sent the game into overtime after he tipped in a miss by Jamel Grey with 1.6 seconds left in regulation.
The Wildcats led 31-27 at the half, during which center Tyronn White had eight of his team high 17 points. White also had his team’s only other bucket in overtime.
Guard Jaime Grant had 11 points and six assists, and Alistair Henry scored 10 points for Bethune-Cookman.
The Aggies (6-9, 4-2) got 12 points from Grey, who hit four of the nine 3-point baskets he tried, and 11 points from forward Shernord Knowlin. However, the Aggies missed five consecutive free throws and were 2 for 8 overall in overtime.
