Police: Florence law office fire is suspicious

FLORENCE, S.C. -- A Florence law office was heavily damaged by an early Wednesday morning fire that is being investigated as an arson.

Florence firefighters and police officers were dispatched at 2:54 a.m. to 323 S. McQueen Street, the office of Malloy Mc Eachin Jr., by the anonymous report of a fire, said Florence Police Lt. Mike Brandt.

Brandt said the building suffered significant damage and that the nature of the blaze was such that it is being investigates as arson.
