‘Shark Tank’-featured, lobster-centric food truck paddles to Kingwood

February 21, 2019

A food truck that appeared on “Shark Tank” is coming to Kingwood.

Cousins Maine Lobster, a creation of Portland natives Jim Tselikis and Sabin Lomac, is hosting a dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Discovery at Kingwood apartments. The truck will park outside of the establishment’s leasing office.

The brand, which features a lobster-rich menu that includes tots, rolls and bisque, received a $55,000 investment from “Shark Tank” panelist Barbara Corcoran in 2012.

In a 2015 interview with Entrepreneur, Lomac credited Corcoran for assisting Cousins Maine Lobster in its early stages. She advised the cousins to become a franchise and guided them toward a group that specializes in said business model.

Cousins Maine Lobster has many locations in the U.S., both in food-truck and brick-and-mortar forms. Its official website — www.cousinsmainelobster.com — listed that a restaurant in Clearwater Beach, Florida is coming soon.

Discovery at Kingwood is located 150 Northpark Plaza Dr., Kingwood, TX 77339. The official website is www.discoveryatkingwood.com and the phone number is 281-761-6916.
