JOHNSON CREEK -- James M. Green, age 72, of Johnson Creek, passed away at his home on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1945, in Ashland, Kentucky, to William and Della (Thompson) Green. James served in the United States Army from Dec. 3, 1963, to March 31, 1967. He married Susan Bass on Nov. 7, 1970, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson. James worked as an engineer in manufacturing at several places including Anderson Engineering, Butler in Fort, Waukesha Engineering, Karma and Spuncast.
He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He loved woodworking, playing cards, word puzzles and mowing his lawn. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson.
James is survived by his family, wife Susan Green of Johnson Creek; sons William Green of Johnson Creek, Christopher Green of Jefferson, Benjamin Green of Brookfield; siblings Clyde Green of Jefferson, Larry Green of Jefferson, Teresa Green of Jefferson, Linda (Johnny) Cooper of Kentucky, Susan (Kramer) Haney of Lake Mills, Cissy Haney of Jefferson; and grandchildren Maxwell Green, Madeline Green, Jackson Green, Olivia Green, Gabrielle Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Dee Green and Robert Green and sister E. Lea Green.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Jefferson with the Rev. Joshua Martin presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9-11 a.m.
