Bonanza hands Glide first Southern Cascade loss

October 3, 2018

BONANZA — The Bonanza Antlers moved into sole possession of first place in the Southern Cascade League volleyball race with a victory over the Glide Wildcats on Tuesday night.

Set scores were 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-17.

Johanna Pope led the Wildcats (10-5, 5-1 SCL) with 17 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore Ruby Livingston had six kills and nine digs, while Regan Deardorff chipped in six kills and 10 digs.

“They brought more energy than us,” surmised Glide coach Stephanie Furlong. “We didn’t play our game, we made more errors than we normally do. We missed a lot of serves.”

Glide will host Rogue River Thursday and Lakeview Saturday.
